Russell Eugene Dugger

Survivors include his loving wife of 61 years, Helen Dugger; 3 daughters, Patsy Ellis of Granite Falls, NC; Kimberly Young and husband Ronald of Vale, NC; and Kristy Dugger and fiance` Brian DuPerry of Laurel Bloomery, TN; 3 sons, Tony Dugger of Mountain City, TN; Wayne Dugger and wife Kathy of Newton, NC; Roger Dugger and wife Lois of Mountain City, TN; one sister Gloria “Pete” Anthony and one brother Joey Dugger. Mr. Dugger is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, June 28, 2018 at 2:00PM from the Charles B. Hux Memorial Chapel at Hux & Lipford Funeral Home. Rev. James Richardson will be officiating. Graveside and internment will follow at Baker's Gap Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday, June 27, 2018 from 6:00PM – 8:00PM, at the Charles B. Hux Memorial Chapel. Pallbearers will be Derick Roberts, Jason Dugger, Sidney Reid, Thomas Lipford, Cory Johnson, and Evan Nichols. Honorary Pallbearers: Brian DuPerry Sr., Brian DuPerry Jr., and Noah Nichols.
Helen and the Dugger family would like to extend a special "Thank You" to all the staff, nurses, CNAs, and doctors for taking good care of our loved one.
