Robert Ritchie

Robert “Bob” Ritchie, age 54, passed away in Forsyth Hospital in Winston-Salem on Monday, June 11, 2018. He was the son of Robert Edward and Norma Bartram Ritchie. Bob was an employee of Hardee's in Mountain City, TN and he enjoyed the outdoors and singing. He was preceded in death by a sister Kelly and one brother Dan.Survivors in addition to his parents include his wife Nancy of the home; five sisters: Robin of OH, Edwina of OH, Danetta of Mountain City, Debbie of Mountain City and Kim of Mountain City; one brother: Russ of NC and several nieces and nephews. His special friend Joy and biological mother Tracy also survive. Funeral services for Bob will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 15, 2018 from the Charles B. Hux Memorial Chapel of Hux & Lipford Funeral Home with Rev. Danny Farmer and Rev. Spencer Roark officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. prior to the funeral service. Graveside and interment will follow in Pope Cemetery in Creston, NC. Active pallbearers will be Russell Ritchie, Gary Nye, Tony Cornett, Glen Gambill, Robert Pope and Bill Pope. Honorary pallbearers will be Rev. Gary Gambill, Charles Parlier, Robert Edward Ritchie and the staff of Mountain City Hardee's. At other times friends may call at the residence of Nancy's mother, Vedie Pope, 1170 Bryan Davis Road, Creston, NC.
