Wanda Mae Curd Payne, age 90, passed away on Monday, April 23, 2018. She was born on June 22, 1927 in the Forge Creek Community of Mountain City, Tn., to the late Alfred Curd and Ira Dunn Curd. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband Clay Payne, her son Billy 'Big Bill' Payne, Infant Son, Bobby Joe Payne, Grandson Billy “Little Bill” Payne. 3 Brothers Lynn Curd, Clay Curd, and Harold Curd, 2 Sisters Adwinna Arnold, and Doris Pleasant. Wanda was a member of First Christian Church. She enjoyed gardening and canning. She retired from Levis and Leco as she was there for many years. She is survived by one son, Larry Payne and wife Connie of Knoxville, TN. Daughters, Linda Dyson and husband Charles of Mountain City, and Cathy Payne of the home. Brother, Carl Mast and wife Phyliss of Mountain City. Grandchildren, Tracy Greenwell, Karen Potter, and David Payne. Six Great Grandchildren; Clay Greenwell, Hailey Potter, Austin Payne, Jacob Potter, Justin Payne and Tyler Payne. Uncle Bill Dunn of Mtn City, and Aunt Olive Johnson also of Mtn City. Several nieces & Nephews also survive.Funeral Service will be conducted Friday April 27, 2018 at 2 PM in the Charles B Hux Memorial Chapel at the Hux & Lipford Funeral home. Officiated by Rev. Billy Morefield. Visitation will be from 12 to 2 prior to the service. Graveside service to follow in the Dunn Memorial Cemetery.Pallbearers will be: Austin Payne, David Payne, Cody Neeley, Steve Dugger, Clay Greenwell, Danny Curd, Jerry Payne, Tommy Payne, Jason Greenwell and Jacob Potter.
