Mary Elizabeth Ferrell Bowman, Butler, Tenn. On April 11, 2018 our Lord & Savior said come my little one, your loved ones are standing at Heavens Door waiting for you. Mary was born April 6, 1932 in Johnson City to the late Carl “Pappy” & Verna Helen Blevins Ferrell. She was also preceded in death by the love of her life of 57 years Carroll Lee Bowman. They resided most of their married life in Butler, Tenn. (Johnson County). She was also preceded in death by four brothers: Oscar, Edward, John & Harley Ferrell and one sister: Minnie France Campbell, . Mary was a graduate of Happy Valley High School. Mary retired from Levis-Strauss of Mountain City after 30 years of service. She was a member of Little Doe Baptist Church, Butler, where she was a member of the church choir. Survivors include her daughter & son-in-law: Cynthia & Claude Terry, Cummings, Georgia, her son & daughter-in-law: Jeffrey & Brenda Hill Bowman, Johnson City. Four Grandchildren: Meagan Perkins, Margo Perkins, both of Atlanta, Georgia, Rachel Elizabeth Bowman Howell & husband Matt, and Andrew Bowman & wife Ashley Street Bowman, all of Johnson City. One Great Grandson: Jace Bowman. One precious Great Granddaughter: Norah Howell . Her siblings: Peggy Harrah, Johnson City and Steve Ferrell & wife Ruth of Michigan. Several nieces & nephews. A Service to celebrate the life of Mary Bowman will be conducted at 7 p.m. Saturday, April 21, 2018 in the Little Doe Baptist Church with the Rev. Kreg Smith, Rev. Gary Edwards and Rev. Dennis Peterson officiating. Graveside Service and Interment will be at 10 a.m. Monday, April 23, 2018 in the Mountain Home National Cemetery. Music will be provided by the Little Doe Baptist Church Choir. Active Pallbearers who are requested to assemble at the church at 6:50 p.m. Saturday and also at the Mountain Home Cemetery at 9:50 a.m. Monday will be: Tim Brown, Tony Stout, Tom Kyte, Rick Snyder, Matthew Adams, Lynn Snyder, Marty Trivette and Bobby Stout. Honorary Pallbearers will be her church family. The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to the Staff of Cardiac Care and the 2600 wing of Johnson City Medical Center. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, April 21st in the Little Doe Baptist Church.
