James Karl Greever age 68, passed away November 1, 2017 at the Johnson City Medical Center, in Johnson City, Tennessee. James Karl Greever was born to the late Stedman Greever and Betty Joan Madron Greever on January 24, 1949. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his Sister-in-law, Lisa Greever and nephew, David Greever. James enjoyed working on his truck, riding motorcycles, and boating. James was also a member of the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, and was also a former employee of the city of Geneva, Illinois as an electrical supervisor. Those left to cherish his memory include the following: His wife Karen Bartlett Greever; his son, Lee Greever and wife Debbie of Mountain City, TN; his grandson Matthew Greever; three brothers: Bobby S. Greever, and Johnny and wife Carol Greever, all of Mountain City, TN, and Lynn Greever of Johnson City, TN; two great grandchildren: Brandon and Mason Greever. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Special friends include Benny Grindstaff, and Steve Hussey. And his sons beloved dog, Rugar whom James loved very much. Honorary Pallbearers: His three brothers – Bobby, Johnny, and Lynn Greever, his grandson Matthew, and special friends Benny Grindstaff and Danny Grindstaff; in addition to family and friends, the Johnson County Lions Club members will also be honorary pallbearers. Funeral services for James Karl Greever will be held at the Charles B. Hux Memorial Chapel on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at 2:30 p.m. Visitation will be held from 1 – 2:30 on Saturday, November 4, 2017, prior to the funeral.
