Pearl Wallace May

Pearl Wallace May, age 86, of Trade, TN, passed away peacefully at her residence after an extended illness, with her family at her side, on Sunday, July 30, 2017. She was the daughter of the late Carl Wallace and Thelma Reece Wallace. Pearl was a homemaker and enjoyed raising her children on the farm. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Earl May, her son Danny May, her daughter Carolyn Sue May, and grandson Jerry Len May. Additionally, she also was preceded in death by her three brothers Robert Wallace, Jack Wallace, Lloyd Wallace, and a sister Celia Jane Wallace. Survivors include 5 daughters: Janice Townsend and husband Dean of Mountain City, TN; Reba Petit and husband Luther of Trade, TN; Linda Kindley and husband Wayne of High Point, NC; Sally Beal and husband Paul of Stoney Creek, TN; Debbie Greever and husband Lee of Mountain City, TN; Two sons: Paul May and wife Dora of Trade, TN; Tommy May and wife Joyce of Bluff City, TN; and Daughter-in-law Peggy May of Trade, Tennessee two brothers: Cecil Wallace of Sweet Home, Oregon; and Dayton Wallace of Mountain City, TN.; 12 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Pearl Wallace May will be held on Thursday, August 3, 2017, at 2:00 pm, from the Charles B. Hux Memorial Chapel of Hux & Lipford Funeral Home with Mr. Chuck Stewart to officiate. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m. prior to the funeral service. Graveside service will follow in Reece Cemetery in Trade TN. Honorary pallbearers will be her son-in-laws and grandsons.
