Adell Deloach, age 95, of Mountain City, Tennessee passed away at Watauga Medical Center in Boone, North Carolina on Friday, January 15, 2010. She was the daughter of the late Gaston and Ellen Shaw. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Deloach; two infant sons; and four sisters and four brothers. Adell was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening where she had a green thumb. She loved shopping but her greatest joy was her family.

 

Survivors include: three daughters, Linda Anderson and husband Jim of Granite Falls, NC; Norma Stanbery of Talbott, TN; Judy Owens and husband Clyde of Mountain City, TN. one son John Sam Deloach and companion Beverly of Miami, FL; ten grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; one great-great grandson.

 

Funeral Services for Mrs. Adell Deloach will be Sunday, January 17, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. at the Charles B. Hux Memorial Chapel, Hux~Lipford~Teague Funeral Home with minister, Mike Smith officiating. Eulogy to be delivered by Great-Granddaughter, Olivia Owens. Graveside service and interment will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, January 18, 2010 at Sunset Memorial Park, Mountain City, Tennessee. Active pallbearers will be Jesse Osborne, Steve Owens, Matthew Scott, Shawn Gentry, Clyde Owen, Michael Stanbery and Harold Wexler. Honorary pallbearer will be Tom Church. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. prior to the service. 

 

At other times friends may call on the family at the home of her daughter, Judy Owens and husband Clyde at 5151 Forge Creek Road, Mountain City, TN.
