Albert Joe Taylor, age 69, of Mountain City passed away, Monday, May 28, 2007 in the Johnson City Medical Center following a lengthy illness. He was a native of Johnson County and was a son of the late Ernest and Ruby Dowell Taylor. Mr. Taylor was a Systems Analyist for Raytheon Company . He was a Veteran having served in the U. S. Army, a member of the Community Church and loved Skiing, Ice skating and Camping.
Survivors include: Wife, Sharon Curd Taylor of Mountain City
One daughter: Susan Paige Taylor of University of Georgetown, Washington, D. C.
Mother-in-Law: Lorraine G. Curd of Mountain City
One Brother: Tommy Taylor of Mountain City
One Niece: Tanya Mason
One Nephew: Stephen Ernest Taylor
Numerous cousins also survive
Funeral services will be held 3:00 p. m. Thursday, May 31, 2007 from the Henson Funeral Home
Chapel with Rev. Ron Drake and Mr. Mike Smith to officiate.
Music will be under the direction of Nancy Drake
Pallbearers will be: Stephen Ernest Taylor, Danny Taylor, Walter Burl Simcox, Bill Murphy and Ross Dowell.
Honorary Pallbearers will be: Jack Taylor, Mike McCroskey, Jack Smith, Eric Taylor, George Mason, Howard Carlton, Bob Miller, Lee Miller and Tom Taylor.
Military Graveside services and burial will follow in the Taylor Cemetery accorded by the Johnson County Honor Guard.
The family will receive friends from 2 until 3:00 p. m. Thursday, May 31, 2007 from the Henson Funeral Home.
