Alexander "A.J" Russom

We are saddened to announce the passing of A.J. Russom, age 39, on Wednesday, January 15, 2025 in Johnson County Community Hospital. He was born November 12, 1985 to Richard Russom and Sarah McFadden Wilson in Mountain City, TN. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Jake and Cora Lee McFadden, paternal grandparents Glenn and Louise Nave Russom and his dad Jerry Wilson. A.J. was a member of Bethany Baptist Church and his hobbies included hunting and fishing.

Those left to cherish his memory include his mother Sarah Wilson; daughter Allie Russom; son, Collin Dugger; sisters: Ruthie Canter and MaKayla Osborne; brother Bradley Wilson, B.J. Porter, Kenny “Poohie” Mains and Timmy Mains. Several nieces, nephews and the love of his life Nikks also survive.

A funeral service for A.J. will be conducted at 2:00 pm Saturday, January, 25, 2025 in the Charles B. Hux Memorial Chapel of Hux & Lipford Funeral Home with Clarence "Bubba" Cannon officiating.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. prior to the funeral service.    . Active pallbearers will be Doug McFadden, Gary McFadden, Josh Furchess, Scott Harrison, Bradley Wilson, Ruthie Canter and Allie Russom. Honorary pallbearers will be Danny Furchess, John Furchess, Ed Gentry and Simon Osborne. Burial will follow in Wilson Family Cemetery.
