Alita Carballo Barnett

Alita Carballo Barnett age 65, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, April 4, 2024.  She was born in Dumagete, Philippines on January 3, 1959 to the late Francisco Carballo and Eulalia Castro Carballo.  In addition to her father she was preceded in death by four brothers.

Alita was  employed by  Walmart.  She enjoyed collecting household items, singing and dancing and the snow. Alita cherished her family and loved singing karaoke with them, especially with her son, Richard.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Edd Barnett; son, Richard Barnett; daughter, Kristina Calumpang (Onyol); three sisters, Gloria Cornelio, Maria-Luz Haluag and Lilibeth Barnett; brother, Ruel Carballo and an abundance of friends.

Funeral Service for Alita will be held Monday, April 8, 2024 at 6 pm in the Buford Lipford Chapel at Hux & Lipford Funeral Home with Jim Furchess officiating.  The family will receive friends from 5 pm - 6 pm prior to the service.
