Mr. Allen "Badger" Thompson, age 51, of Moore's Boarding Home, Dandridge, Tennessee passed away suddenly Sunday, July 06, 2003 at the Jefferson County Memorial Hospital. He was a native of Johnson County and was born March 15, 1952 to the late Morton Thompson and Thelma Cuddy Thompson. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Junior Thompson. Mr. Thompson enjoyed working with horses and mules. He attended The Church of God. Survivors include: (1) Sister: Debbie Roark and husband Tommy, Mountain City, TN (3) Nieces: JoAnn Mahala, Shady Valley, TN Erin Miller, Mountain City, TN Shelia Roark, Mountain City, TN Special Friends: Paul Tucker, Bill Dunn Curt Norris Wiley Thomas Hux-Lipford Funeral Home in charge of the Arrangements. Funeral services for Allen "Badger" Thompson, age 51, Dandridge, Tennessee will be held 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 08, 2003 from the Chapel of the Hux-Lipford Funeral Home with Rev. Frank Woods and Rev. Ted Lewis to officiate. Music will be under the Direction of Jerry Horne. Graveside Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 09, 2003 at Greene Cemetery. Active Pallbearers will be: Wiley Thomas, Curt Norris, Chris Mahala, Mike Roark, Clarence Braden and Tony Simcox Honorary Pallbearers are: Rick Potter, Paul Tucker, David Storie, MD Simcox, Bronson Miller, Gary Potter and The Moore Family Brothers. The family will receive Friends from 5:30 p.m. till 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 08, 2003 prior to services at the Chapel of the Hux-Lipford Funeral Home.
