Anakin Lee Hoyle

April 23, 2021 — January 30, 2024

Anakin Lee Hoyle, age 2, of Johnson City, went to be with Jesus on Tuesday, January 30, 2024. Anakin was pure love and a true miracle from God. To know him was to love him. He touched the hearts of everyone that had the pleasure of meeting him. Anakin’s favorite place to be was with his family. He always showed how grateful he was for his life and loved ones. He loved to joke around and be silly, always doing something to make someone laugh or smile. Anakin pretended to be many things. He loved to be Spiderman and walk around upside down on the ceiling, with the help of his dad of course. He loved to be a monster and put his dirty socks in his mouth as soon as they came off of his feet. His smile and laughter was contagious and could brighten any situation. He loved to be outside, run, climb, and jump on the trampoline with his sister and brothers. He would always ask to watch Boo (Scooby Doo) no matter where he was. He loved to dance. He would say “Hey Google” to play his favorite song and make sure his family was watching as he danced to the music. It is worth saying that Anakin came into this world under some of the worst circumstances possible and was never given much of a chance by the hospital. His family was told he would likely not make it out of the NICU but through his perseverance, his mother’s faith, and God’s will, he was able to accomplish many things, touch many lives and brighten the world. He truly was a little piece of Heaven on Earth. Each day with him was a true blessing. His family never expected their time with him to end so soon but are very thankful for every day and each memory made with him. Anakin was preceded in death by paternal grandfather, Ted Hoyle; paternal great grandparents, William (Bill) Hoyle & Gladys Holcomb, and John Perkins; maternal great grandparents, Tom & Thelma Potter, Tull Eldreth, Anna Lea Farmer, Mary Hodges. Survivors include Anakin’s parents, Dillon & Lyndsey Hoyle; sister, Emerie Hoyle; brother, Maclaren (Mac) Hoyle; twin brother, Arlo Hoyle; paternal grandparents, Larry (Kebo) & Debra Scalf; maternal grandparents, Gary Potter; Junior & Janet Potter, and Kevin Hodges; paternal great grandmother, Gail Perkins; maternal great grandparents, David Farmer; Jack Hodges; aunts and uncles include, Judith Perkins Lewis, Marc & Bree Rhea, Dustin & Sable Long, Keet & Diedra Scalf, Legend Scalf, and Matt Potter; cousins include, Kyler Lewis, MaKenna Lewis, Avery Nelson, Ellie Nelson, Drew Nelson, Damon Rhea, Lailah Long, Dakari Long, Wilder Scalf, Reign Scalf, and Anakin’s very special nurse and family friend, Amy Shanahan. Anakin was blessed to have many more family, friends, and caregivers. The family will hold a private memorial service in honor of Anakin at a later date. “For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be. How precious to me are your thoughts, God! How vast is the sum of them!” For those who wish, you may come by Hux & Lipford Funeral Home office for a memorial card and sign the register book for Anakin. Psalms 139:13-17 NIV Tetrick Funeral Services, 3001 Peoples Street, Johnson City, TN 37604, is honored to serve the Hoyle family. (423) 610-7171.
