Ancil Mahala

Ancil Vania Mahala age 71, of 418 Fairhaven, Street, Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away Wednesday, January 8th 2003, in the Sycamore Shoals Hospital, Elizabethton, Tennessee as a result of injuries sustained from an auto accident. Mrs. Mahala was a native of Ashe County, but had made her home in Johnson County for most of her life. She was a Homemaker, a member of the First Freewill Baptist Church where she was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary, and Loved Reading and Shopping. She was Born June 11th 1931 to the late Art Greer and Hollie Snyder Greer . Survivors:. Husband: Joseph Mahala, of the home; (3) Sons: Gary Mahala, Mountain City, TN; Tim Mahala, Mountain City, TN; Doug Mahala, Mountain City, TN; (2) Sisters: Louella Dowell, Mountain City, TN; Reba Salmons, Mountain City, TN; (3) Brothers: Gene Greer, Mountain City, TN; Ray Greer, Mountain City, TN; Ronald Greer, Mountain City, TN; (3) Grandchildren: Jessica Mahala, Mountain City, TN; Alex Mahala, Mountain City, TN; Dylan Mahala, Mountain City, TN; Several Nieces and Nephews. Funeral services for Ancil Vania Mahala will be conducted at 8:00 P.M. Saturday, January 11, 2003 at the First Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Frank Woods to officiate. Graveside Services will be at 3:30 P.M. Sunday, January 12, 2003 at Sunset Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Joe Osborne, Steve Osborne, Eric Hill, Larry Greer, Gary Leonard, and Danny Jones. Honorary pallbearers will be Kenny Norris, Brian Adams, Loyd McEwen, and Buck Salmons. The family will receive friends from 6 till 8 P.M. Saturday, January 11,. 2003 at the First Freewill Baptist Church. Friends may also call at the residence, 418 Fairhaven Street, Mountain City, at any time.
