Obituary for: Anna Jean Neatherly Drinnon
Anna Neatherly Drinnon went to be with the lord and departed this world for heaven on Saturday, September 3, 2016 at 5:45 a.m. at the Newport Convalescent Center.
The family will receive friends on Monday, September 5, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Hux-Lipford Funeral Home in Mountain City TN. Funeral service will follow at 12:00 p.m. with Randy Forbes, Tim Groom and Patty Eastridge Clark officiating. Burial will follow after ceremony at Sunset Memorial Park. Active pallbearers are David Eastridge, Junior Eastridge, Denis Burgess, Bob Heck, Darrell Bridges and Mayford Yount. Honorary pallbearers are Rick Ramsey, lynn Snyder, Wesley Rominger,and Derl McCloud.
Ann was an active member of Riverview Baptist Church. From her birth in Mountain City, Tennessee on May 29, 1931 to her death on Saturday, September 3, 2016, she nourished people around her with love and faithful service to our Lord and you could always see Jesus in her. She was an encourager to so many. Some of her favorite times out and about were taking care of her great grandchild Ashley Faith who she referred to as "doodle bug"; she loved having lunch with friends and was a friend to all. She was a woman of strong faith, believing in the power and strength of Jesus Christ's love and the beauty and peace that would await her after her passing. She worked for many years at the City Shoe Store in Mountain City, Tennessee.
She was loved by so many and will be missed by all. She was preceded in death by her husband Dean Neatherly and second husband Doyle Drinnon, parents, George and Lottie Tester Dunn, brother and sister-in-law Raymond Dunn and wife Carrie, sisters and brother-in-laws, Pauline and Grady Eisenhour, Lynn and Jim Payne, Jane and Lester Hodge, Opal and Bruce Woodward and a brother-in-law, Hacker Eastridge.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Bobbie and Jerry Drinnon; sister, Francis Eastridge; granddaughter & grandson-in-law, Kim & David Morton, great-granddaughter Ashley Morton, as well as many other nieces and nephews, and grand nieces and grand nephews and many friends.
