Anna Mae Parsons Potter, age 82, of 456 B. Johnson Road, Mountain City went to be with our Lord on Monday, January 17, 2005 after a lengthy illness. She was a daughter of the late Landon and Lilly Parsons and was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Potter. She was also preceded by two sons: Paul Icenhour and Frankie Icenhour, two sisters: Edith Fenner and Mina Shelton: two brothers: Burt Parsons and George Parsons and five grandchildren. Anna was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and also in the Ladies Circle for years before becoming ill. She loved being with her family and friends. Survivors include a son; John Icenhour and wife Jo Ann of Leesville, South Carolina; two daughters: Jean Baird, wife of the late Abner Baird, of Gilbert, South Carolina and Peggy Daddezio and husband Carlo, with whom she had lived with and had been taken care of by many years; seven step-children: Cecil Potter of Marion, NC, Paul Potter of Stokesdale, NC, Myrtle Icenhour of Lenni, Pa, Madge Sexton of Peach Bottom, Pa, Laura Hodge , Connie Williams and Dorothy Able all of Mountain City; thirty-six grandchildren, thirty- seven great grandchildren and four great, great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; special friends: Bertha Wilcox, Ilene Cuddy and Ola Mae Scott and many more. A very special thank you to Clyde May, who not only was her care giver, but was also loved very deeply by Anna. Funeral services will be held at 8:00 P. M. Wednesday, January 19, 2005 from Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Terry Steele to officiate. Graveside services will be held at11:00 A. M. Thursday, January 20, 2005 from the Reece Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandsons. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8:00 P. M. Wednesday at the church, and other times friends may call at the home of a daughter Peggy and son-in-law Carlo Daddezio, 456 B. Johnson Road, Mountain City. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Johnson County Rescue Squad, 203 Vandilla St. Mountain City , TN. 37683. A very special thank you is extended from our hearts to Dr. John Whitlock, Dr. Robert Griffith, Dr. Peter Haibach and employees of House Call for helping with the care of our beloved mother.
