Anna Tester, age 72, of 557 Moretz Road, Mountain City, Tennessee, went home to be with the Lord Friday, December 5, 2003 at her home. A native of Johnson County, she was born February 3, 1931 to the late Glenn and Carrie Rankins Owens and was the wife of Raymond Jack Tester, who passed away in 1992. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Lucille Johnson. Anna was employed at Mtn. City Glove, where she retired and went to work for a number of years for Burger King. She was of the Baptist faith and loved to quilt, garden, work in her flowers, fish and travel with her family and friends. Anna is survived by two daughters: Barbara Rice and husband Eddie of Mountain City, and Carol Phillips and husband Dave of Mountain City; three sons: Gene Tester and wife Lorene of Gray, TN; Tom Tester and wife Teresa of Mountain City and Bill Tester of Mountain City; two sisters: Ruth Davis of Sparta, NC and Margaret Tester of Mountain City; four grandchildren: Vicki Phillips, Tiffany Woods, Brandie Morefield and Ray Tester. Six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be held at 8 p. m. Sunday from the chapel of Henson Funeral Home. Mr. Jim Hutchinson will officiate. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p. m. Sunday at the funeral home prior to the services. Pallbearers will be Roy Phillips, Josh Phillips, Ray Tester, Charlie Morefield and Gary Davis. Friends may also call at other times at the residence, 557 Moretz Road, Mountain City at anytime. Graveside interment will be held at 11 a. m. Monday from Sunset Memorial Park, Mountain City.
