Annie Mae Leffman, age 91, of 919 Medical Park Drive, Mountain City, Tennessee, formerly of 1041 Branch Road, Laurel Bloomery, Tennessee, passed away Monday, June 9, 2008. She was the daughter of the late Joe and Florence Snyder Morefield and she was a member of State Line Baptist Church. Annie loved gardening, sewing and flowers. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Leffman; two sons, Johnny Leffman and Paul Leffman; one daughter, Margaret Dunn and three brothers, Gene Morefield, Glenn Morefield and Luke Morefield.
Survivors include: one son: Charles Leffman of Laurel Bloomery, TN; one sister: Ursel McKay of Buffalo, NY; two brothers: Ed Morefield of Buffalo, NY and Dave Morefield of Damascus, VA; very special family: P.J. and Maxine Potter of Laurel Bloomery, TN; one granddaughter: Jackie Garland and husband David; very special friends: Thelma Horn, Sally Horn, Bob Royston, Patsy and Carter Isaacs; Phyllis and Harold Ward, Ginger Peters, Jeanie Bowers, Rev. John Love and all her caregivers at Mountain City Care Center; several nieces and nephews; and her very special friend: Katie-her cat.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 10, 2008 from the Charles B. Hux Memorial Chapel of Hux-Lipford Funeral Home with Rev. John Love officiating. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Entombment will follow Sunset Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 a.m. prior to the services.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the 1st District Volunteer Fire Department, 7176 Highway 91 North, Laurel Bloomery, TN 37680.
