Arthur C. "A.C." Warren, age 77, of 208 East Chilhowie Avenue, Johnson City, Tennessee, passed away Friday, July 23, 2004 at Sycamore Shoals Hospital, Elizabethton, Tennessee. A native of Bristol, Tennessee, he was born January 8, 1927 to the late Jim and Jennie Thomas-Warren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, J.W. Warren and three half brothers, Joe, Justin and Leon Wilson. A.C. was a retired Farmer. He enjoyed dogs and hunting. He was a World War II Veteran having served in the United States Army. A.C. was a member of Mountain View Pentecostal Church and had attended The Temple Faith Church of Jonesborough, Tennessee. He is survived by two Aunts, Edith Carpenter of Johnson City, Tennessee and Florence Boren of Mountain City, Tennessee. Several cousins, nieces, nephews and friends also survive. Funeral Services for A.C. will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 27, 2004 from the Hux-Lipford Funeral Home Chapel with Elder David Murray to officiate. Military Graveside Services will be conducted by the Johnson County Honor Guard following Funeral Services at the Holy Hill Cemetery, Mountain City, Tennessee. Active Pallbearers will be Friends of A.C. Honorary Pallbearers are: Dr. Donald Tarr and Dr. Jerry Gastineau. Family will receive friends from 1-2:00 p.m. Tuesday prior to Services at the Chapel. At other times, friends may call at the residence of A.C.'s Aunts at Edith Carpenter of 208 East Chilhowie Avenue, Johnson City, Tennessee and/or Florence Boren of 120 Honey Suckle Lane, Mountain City, Tennessee.
