Arthur W. Gentry, age 84, of 2879 Sugar Creek Road, Laurel Bloomery, TN passed away Thursday October 20, 2005 at his residence following a lengthy illness. He was a native of Johnson County and was born August 3, 1921 to the late Jake L. and Della Leffman Gentry. Mr. Gentry was also preceded in death by a daughter Wanda Jean Gentry who died in l955. He was a former Merchant and former employee of Sara Lee Knit Product. He was a Member of State Line Baptist Church, a US Army veteran having served in World War II and a member of the American Legion Post # 6908. He loved playing musical instruments. Survivors: include his wife Ruby D. Gentry, of the Home One sister: Jewel Gentry of Laurel Bloomery, TN Two brothers: Luther Gentry and wife Gladys of Laurel Bloomery, TN Ralph Gentry and wife Norma of Laurel Bloomery, TN Several Nieces and Nephews Funeral services will be held 8:00 p. m. Friday, October 21, 2005 from the Henson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Bowers and Rev. Mahlon Wyatt to officiate. Music will be under the direction of the Price family. Pallbearers will be: Nephews Honorary Pallbearers will be: Friends Military Graveside services and Burial will be held 11:00 a. m. Saturday from the State Line Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8:00 p. m. Friday, October 21, 2005 from the Funeral Home Chapel. Friends may also call at the residence, 2879 Sugar Creek Road, Laurel Bloomery, TN at anytime.
