He was born May 24, 1931 to the late Calvin and Edna Brewer Church. Arvil was a retired Farmer, a member of Berea Baptist Church and a United States Army Veteran having served in Korea. He was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter; Georgia Dawn Church. Survivors Include: (2) Daughters: Carol Roark and Husband Billy, Mountain City, Tennessee Kitty Glass and Fianc Tim Blevins, Valley Forge, Tennessee (2) Sons: Mike Church and Wife Shelia, King George, Virginia Brian Church and Wife Terry, Butler, Tennessee (3) Sisters: Elsie Laws, Butler, Tennessee Lou Johnson, Mountain City, Tennessee Nannie Norris, Arizona (1) Brother: Bobby Church, Neva, Tennessee Former Wife: Alma Church, Poga Road, Butler, Tennessee 13 Grandchildren, Several Nieces and Nephews. Funeral Services for Arvil Church, age 72, of 229 Sprucy Lane, Mountain City, Tennessee will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 06, 2003 at the Berea Baptist Church with Rev. James Pardue to officiate. Music will be under the direction of Lois Presnell. Family will receive friends 7-9:00 p.m. Friday, September 05, 2003 at Berea Baptist Church. Active Pallbearers will be: Jimmy Glass, Josh Glass, AJ Glass, Jayson Church, Steven Church and Brett Epperly. Honorary Pallbearers are: Jacob Church and Calvin Clawson. Millitary Graveside Services will be held following Funeral Services at the Fritts Cemetery. Family will meet at the residence of 229 Sprucy Lane, Mountain City, Tennessee.
