Snyder William John Snyder, Jr. "B.J." age 22, of 815 Sink Valley Road, Butler, TN, went to be at peace with the Lord on Sunday, August 15, 2004 at his home. A native of John son County, he was born August 25, 1981 to the late William John "Bill" Snyder and to Kathy McQueen Perkins, of the home. He was also preceded in death by his grandparents: Bernice and Madie Snyder, grandmother, Lillie McQueen and two uncles: Tom Snyder and Jimmy Garland. He was a graduate of Johnson County High School and attended the Sugar Grove Baptist Church. He loved tennis, dirt bikes and being with his family and friends. Survivors include his parents, Kathy and Ronnie Perkins of the home; two sisters: Heather Johnson and husband Jason of Elizabethton, Christy Reece and husband Bruce of Butler; a step-sister, Sara Perkins of Oceanside, CA and a step-brother, Ryan Perkins of Oceanside, CA; grandfather, Bradford McQueen of Butler; his special person, Stephanie Matheson of Neva; two aunts: Carolyn Dugger and husband Richard, June Bagi and husband John, four uncles: Kenneth McQueen and wife Cathy, Lynn Snyder and wife Sandy, Gene Garland and wife Carol and Ricky Garland; one nephew, Bruce Reece Jr., and one niece, Ally Reece; cousins: Rick, Tom, Rich, Cindy, DeDe, Beth, Johnny, Michael, Debbie, Trish, David, Christopher, Amy, Christine, Janie and Tracy. His special friends, Ian and Derek Boxhorn, Jessie Rhudy, Tyler Slimp and a number of other friends also survive. Funeral services for B. J. Snyder will be held 11 A. M. Friday from Sugar Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Doug Ranshaw, Rev. Bill Worley and Rev. Allen Koch officiating. Music will be under the direction of the Sugar Grove Quartet. Burial will follow in the Snyder Family Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Tom Snyder, Jason Johnson, Bruce Reece, Ricky Snyder, Kenny McQueen, Ian Boxhorn, Derek Boxhorn, Ronnie Perkins, Lynn Snyder and Lloyd Dugger. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 P. M. Thursday from the Sugar Grove Baptist Church and other times friends may call at the residence of Ronnie and Kathy Perkins, 815 Sink Valley Road, Butler, TN at anytime. Those who desire may make donations to the Johnson County Rescue Squad, 203 Vandilla Street, Mountain City 37683 Henson Funeral Home is serving the Snyder family.
