Barbara Jean Barnhill age 65 of Mountain City passed away on Monday, November 13, 2023 in the Watauga Medical Center.  She was born April 25, 1958 to William H Arnold and the late Edell Hatley Arnold. In addition to her mother, she is preceded in death by a son, Eric Snyder and daughter, Audea Barnhill.

Barbara was an LPN.  She enjoyed gardening, canning, hunting, fishing and watching wildlife.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Michael Barnhill; daughter, Michelle Gleaton (Joe) of Akien, SC; son, Richard Brent Snyder of Mountain City, TN; sister, Delores Phillips (Tim) of Elizabethton, TN; Grandchildren, Jamie Brown, Dalton Snyder, Mary Bell Rhymer, William Barnhill, and Joshua Sessons; Nephew, Austin Jenkins, and special friend, Lisa Walker.

Services for Barbara will be Saturday, November 18, 2023 at 2 pm in the Charles B Hux Chapel of Hux & Lipford Funeral Home with Ray Greene officiating.  The family will receive friends from 1 - 2 pm prior to the service.
