Barbara Lipford

Barbara Jean Lipford, age 69, of 938 Crossroads Drive went to her heavenly home on April 24, 2012. She had battled a long case of Alzheimer's. She attended the Ackerson Creek Church of Christ. Barbara loved to travel and shop and spend time with family. She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was born to the late Garney and Ruby Gentry. She is preceded in death by her husband, Fred Lipford. Survivors include two sons, Tommy Lipford and very special friend Samantha Stout and Wayne and April Lipford all of Mountain City, Tennessee. Six grandchildren, Brandon Lipford, Christopher Lipford, Jeffery Lipford, Bradley Lipford, Stephen Lipford and Caleb Lipford. Two great grandchildren, Gage Lipford and Hailey Lipford. Four sisters, Betty and Herman Trivette, Deloris and Grady Roark, Kathy and Ken Thomas and Diana Gentry and special friend Glenn Stewart. Several Nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services for Barbara Lipford will be conducted at 8:00 p.m. Friday, April 27, 2012 from the Charles B. Hux Memorial Chapel of Hux-Lipford Funeral Home with Rev. Doug Stidham officiating. Graveside service and interment will be Saturday, April 28, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. from the Trivette Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Christopher Lipford, Jeffery Lipford, Bradley Lipford, Stephen Lipford and Caleb Lipford. Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Burgess, Brandon Lipford, B. C. Stout, Grady Roark, Herman Trivette, Ken Thomas, Tom Rhymer, Mike Brooks, Robert Young and Tom Brown. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Friday, April 27, 2012 from the Charles B. Hux Memorial Chapel of the Hux-Lipford Funeral Home.
