Barbara Jean Wallace Blevins

Mrs. Barbara Jean Wallace Blevins, age 68, of 4150 Highway 133, Shady Valley, Tennessee went to be with the Lord Tuesday, January 13th 2004 at the Johnson City Medical Center following an brief illness. Mrs. Blevins was born June 12th 1935 in Shady Valley, Tennessee to the late Roosevelt Theodore and Lillian Beatrice Roberts Wallace. She was preceded in death by a sister. She was a member of the Crandull Church of Christ. Mrs. Blevins was a 1954 Graduate of Johnson County High School. She loved gardening, flowers, walking and reading. Mrs. Blevins was a retired employee of McBee Systems of Damascus, Virginia. Survivors: Husband; Walter Floyd Blevins, of the home. (2) Daughters; Melissa Deneen Arney, and Husband Dean, Mountain City, Tennessee. Melinda Beatrice Bright, and husband David, Limestone, Tennessee. (3) Sons; Travis Preston Blevins, and Wife Karen, Shady Valley, Tennessee. Perry Dean Blevins, and Friend Lisa Mullins, Shady Valley, Tennessee. Keenan Dwayne Blevins and Friend Robin Patton, Shady Valley, Tennessee. (2) Brothers; Roy Wallace, Shady Valley, Tennessee. Howard Wallace, Shady Valley, Tennessee. (2) Grandsons; Chad Allen Arney; Mountain City, Tennessee. David Michael Bright Jr, Limestone, Tennessee. (2) Granddaughters; Belle Marie Bright, Limestone, Tennessee. Brandi Nichole Blevins, Shady Valley, Tennessee. Several Nieces and Nephews also survive. Hux-Lipford Funeral Home is in charge of the Arrangements. Funeral services for Mrs. Barbara Jean Wallace Blevins will be conducted on Thursday, January 15th 2004 at 8:00 p.m. from the Crandull Church of Christ with Mr. John Cotham to officiate. Music will be under the direction of the Church Choir. The Family will receive friends 6-8:00 p.m. prior to services. Committal Services will be conducted Friday, January 15, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. from the Crandull Church of Christ. Interment will follow in the Blevins Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Doug Blevins, Jack Blevins, Tony Wallace, Charles Wallace, Kenneth Wallace, Tommy Wallace, Tracey Dugger, Mark Gentry and Nick Dugger. Honorary Pallbearers will be Chad Allen Arney, and David Michael Bright Jr. Friends may call at the residence, 4150 Highway 133, Shady Valley, Tennessee at anytime.
