Barton Bernard Potter Granite Falls, NC - Mr. Barton Bernard Potter, age 72, a member of Solid Rock Baptist Church, Granite Falls, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Wednesday May 1, 2013, at his home in Granite Falls, NC. He was born August 26, 1940 in Watauga County, NC, to John O. Potter and Cora Lee Reece Potter . He is preceded in death by both parents; one son, J.C. Potter; one grandson, Matthew Potter; one granddaughter, Emily Potter; four brothers, Fred Potter, Daine Potter, Howard Potter and John O. Potter; one sister Thelma Miller. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Pat Owens Potter; four sons, Donnie Potter and wife Sarah, Terry Potter and wife Terri, Gary Potter, and Adam Potter, all of Granite Falls, NC ; two daughters, Kathy Ingle of Morganton, NC, and Judy Norris of Hudson, NC; nine grandchildren, Nathan, Jacob, Derek, Dustin, Devin, Bethany, Aaron, Danielle, and Blake; two great granddaughters, Emma and Kahlyn; one sister Juanita Hammons of Hickory, NC The family will receive friends at Solid Rock Baptist Church, Granite Falls, NC, on Saturday, May 5, 2013, from 11:00 AM till 12:00 noon. Funeral Service will follow at 12:00 noon with Rev. Jerry Stines officiating. Burial will be 4:00 PM Saturday, May 5, 2013, at Sunset Park in Mt. City, TN.
