Benjamin Rupard

January 24, 1954 — March 6, 2024

We are saddened to announce the passing of Benjamin Paul “Benny” Rupard, age 70, on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at his home surrounded by his loving family. Benny was born on January 24, 1954 in Johnson County, Tennessee to Luther Rupard and Gladys Trivette Rupard. Benny enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing bingo. One of his favorite sayings was “Don’t worry sleep on it things will look better in the morning” Benny’s working careers included at Iron Mountain Stoneware, Burlington Industries, Dairy Partners, and the Johnson County Highway Department. He attended the Faith Gospel Fellowship Church. Benny was a member of the Taylorsville Masonic Lodge 243 F & AM. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife and best friend of 25 years, Phyllis Pennington Rupard; Children Tonya Lowe, Misty Acord, and Bentha Rupard, stepchildren Eric Farrow/Crystal, Brandon Farrow/Tequilla. Sisters, Patsy/Chris Galliher, Judy Howard, and Tammy/Bob Grindstaff. 5 grandchildren, 6 step grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, 1 step great grandchild. Several nieces and nephews also survive. The family wishes to thank all his friends who drove him to his appointments and treatments, and all who visited, brought food and most of for the Prayers. A special thanks to Teresa Reece And Phyllis Macy for all there help! And also a special thank you to Amedisys Hospice May God bless you all! Benny’s service will be conducted on Sunday March 10th, 2024, at 2 pm @ Reece Memorial Cemetery, with John Hammett, and Billy Morefield to officiate. Following will be his Masonic Funeral Accorded by Taylorsville Masonic Lodge 243 F& AM. For those who wish we will assemble at the funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery at 1:30 pm. His pallbearers are James Pennington, Chris Galliher, Josh Key, Allen Osborne, Bob Grindstaff, Bill Tugman, Jeff Wagner, and Cole Howard. Honorary Pallbearers are his many close friends, Dr. Kerr, Dr Gerard, and Dr Shaou.
