Bertha Simcox

Bertha Isaacs Simcox age 82 of 1554 Crackers Neck Road, Mountain City, TN went home to be with Jesus, October 10, 2008 at her residence .Mrs. Bertha was a native of Watauga County, NC a daughter of the late Conley and Nora Tester Isaacs. Bertha had worked with the Johnson County School System as a cook, was a homemaker, mother and a member of the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters.

               Son Tony and wife Barbara, Simcox, Mountain City,

      Daughters Geraldean and Husband Paul Barr, Mountain City

                       Hilda Simcox, Mountain City,

   Grandchildren: Joana and Husband Roger Morrison, Mountain City

                             Aaron and wife Rebecca Simcox, Mountain City

                             Kelly Simcox, Mountain City

Great-Grandson Hunter Morrison, Mountain City,

Several nieces and nephews

 

A graveside service was conducted at 2 pm on Sunday October 12, 2008 at the Pleasant Grove Cemetery with Rev. Doug Ranshaw officiating.

Pallbearers were friends and family.

Burial was in the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery

Henson Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
