Obituary for: Bessie A. Wilson Bessie A. Wilson, age 86, of 999 Forge Creek Road, Mountain City went home to be with Jesus and and her husband, Dr. William Clyde Wilson on Wednesday, July 21, 2004. She was a native of Johnson County and was born April 13, 1918 to the late Ed C. Wilson and Betty Greer Wilson Gresham also by three sisters and four brothers. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She loved canning, gardening and loved her flowers. Survivors include two daughters: Lois A. Wilson and husband Charlie Price of Gurley, Alabama, Mary A. Wilson Roper and husband James Bert Roper of Greensboro, NC.; a half brother, Carroll Wilson of Mountain City; special niece and nephew Joan Roark Tedder of Fayetteville, NC. and Bill Roark of Lenoir, NC.; one granddaughter, Tammy S. Roper Patalino of Greensboro and three great grandchildren: Nick, John and Talie Patalino. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Funeral services for Bessie A. Wilson, will be held 8:00 P. M. Friday from the chapel of the Henson Funeral Home with Mr. Ronnie Manuel to officiate. Burial will be in the Wilson Cemetery in the Forge Creek Community. Nephews will service as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8:00 P. M. Friday at the Henson Funeral Home. At other times friends may call at the residence at 999 Forge Creek Road, Mountain City at anytime. Henson Funeral Home is serving the Wilson family.
