Betty Ann Nichols-Morris, age 57, passed away unexpectedly at her residence on Tuesday, June 12, 2012. She was a daughter of the late Emit Roark and Verna Mae "Betty" Payne Roark. Betty Ann grew up in First Christian Church and her hobbies included reading, cooking, flowers and gardening. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Ramona Church. Survivors include: one daughter: Elizabeth Rose Dugger of Mountain City, TN; one son: Joey Nichols of Sumter, SC; one sister: Sharon Dugger of Mountain City, TN; nieces and nephews: Jeff Pardue of Mountain City, TN; Darren Pardue of Solon, OH; Cindy Church and Sandy Church both of Mountain City, TN; Marty Church of Knoxville, TN; special great nieces and nephew: Sandra Church of Mountain City, TN and Layla and Nash Pardue of Solon, OH and special friend, Debbie Phillips, of Mountain City, TN. Funeral services for Betty Ann Nichols-Morris will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 14, 2012 from the East Side Memory Chapel of Hux-Lipford Funeral Home with Rev. Doug Stidham officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. prior to the funeral service. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. Honorary pallbearer will be Terry Cook. At other times friends may call at the residence of her sister, Sharon Dugger, 147 Woodlawn Drive, Mountain City, TN at any time. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Johnson County Rescue Squad, 203 Vandilla Street, Mountain City, TN 37683.
