Betty Estel Hodge Lewis

Betty Estle Hodge Lewis graduated into the arms of her Lord Jesus January17, 2025 at the age of 92. She was born May 20, 1932 in Mountain City, TN to Lester and Jane (Dunn) Hodge. She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother Nolan Bruce Hodge and grandparents George and Lottie Dunn, and Link and Clara Hodge.

She is survived by her daughter Lisa Jane and sister Judy Bridges (Darrell), niece Jennifer Shirley, Nephew Christopher Bridges and grand-niece Lauren Moore. She faithfully served in her church, Calvary Baptist in Newark, DE, where she lived most of her life. She is retired from DuPont, Gore Associates and Manor Care Nursing Home. She loved her family and we can say – It Is Well With Her Soul.

A service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 23, 2025 in the Charles B. Hux Chapel at Hux & Lipford Funeral Home. Entombment will be in the Sunset Memorial Park Mausoleum of Love.
