Betty Pardue, age 67, of 721 Harbin Hill Road, Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, April 24, 2006 at the Bristol Regional Medical Center. She was born on February 4, 1939 in Tidewater, West Virginia to the late Robert and Mattie (Richardson) Fenner. In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by one sister, Jackie Lowe and one brother, Jerry Fenner and infant brothers and sisters: Bobby Junior, Margaret Ellen, Cathy Rachel, JoAnn and Jane. She was a member and former Sunday School teacher of Rainbow Baptist Church and had also attended Berea Baptist Church. Betty enjoyed singing and spending time with her family and friends. Betty is survived by her husband of 50 years, James Pardue of the home; two daughters: Barbara Jennings and Linda Vance; one son, Steve Pardue, all of Mountain City, Tennessee; two sisters: Ruby Gilbert of Mountain City, Tennessee and Becky Caraway of Morganton, North Carolina; one brother, Dave Fenner, of Morganton, North Carolina; four grandchildren; two great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and special friend, Camilla Osborne of Mountain City, Tennessee. Funeral Services for Betty Pardue will be conducted at 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 25, 2006 from the Charles B. Hux Memorial Chapel of Hux-Lipford Funeral Home with Rev. Roy Dowell to officiate. The family will receive friends from 7-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, prior to Services. Graveside Services and Interment will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 26, 2006 from the Rainbow Cemetery. Active Pallbearers will be: Doug Osborne, Glen Shupe, Bill Dugger, Darrell Gilbert, Danny McElyea, Buck May, Dustin Ankrom, Bud Fenner and Art Lowe. Family, Pallbearers and Friends are asked to assemble by 9:45 a.m. on Wednesday, at the cemetery for services.
