Betty Rhudy

Betty Rhudy, 81, of Shady Valley, Tennessee, surrounded by her family, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, November 23, 2018.  Betty was born in Shady Valley, TN on March 3, 1937, to Robert and Cora Harper Wright.  Betty was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Burley Leon Rhudy, and brothers Fred, Earnest, & Bobby Wright.

Betty spent her life taking care of her family and the family home in Shady Valley.  She enjoyed canning the vegetables she grew in her garden every year and sewing and quilting. Betty was a member of the Shady Valley Baptist Church.

Those left to cherish the memory of Betty are her children; Sandy Reall and husband Herbert of Butler, TN, Randy Rhudy and wife Shirley of Elizabethton, TN, Dennis Rhudy and wife Sharron, of Shady Valley, TN, and Donna Rhudy of Baltimore, MD; her sister Loretta Woodell of Shady Valley, TN; sister-in-law, Ivalee Wright of Shady Valley, TN; 7 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; special friends Clare Blevins, Betty Plummer, Lucy Simmons, and her beloved cat, Tiger.

Services for Betty Rhudy will be held at 6pm on Tuesday, November 27, 2018, in the Charles B. Hux Memorial Chapel at Hux & Lipford Funeral Home with Pastor Richard Stout to officiate.  The family will receive friends from 5pm – 6pm prior to the service.  Graveside service will be held at 10am on Wednesday, Nov 28, 2018, in the Crosswhite Cemetery in Shady Valley, TN.
