Betty Roberts

We are saddened to announce the passing of Betty Roberts, age 78, on Thursday, September 2, 2021 in Johnson City Medical Center. She was born February 8, 1943 to the late Clifford Brewer and Delphia Vanover Brewer. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son Clifford Brewer Harmon on August 20, 2021; a sister Edna Mae Brewer and a brother Junior Brewer. Betty was a loving person, especially with children. She took in many children down through the years and her great grandchildren were the light of her life. Those left to cherish her memory include a daughter Patricia Roberts; one grandson Justin Sweeney; a granddaughter who she raised Lisa Roberts; and eight great grandchildren. A memorial service for Betty and her son Clifford “Freddy” will be held at a later date. Update on arrangements: A memorial service for Betty and "Freddy" will be held on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Locust Gap Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Davis officiating.
