Billy Chester Wagner, age 71, of 4132 Roan Creek Road, Mountain City, Tennessee passed away Saturday, October 20, 2007 at Mountain City Care Center. He was the son of the late Lee and Florence Potter Wagner and was a member of Pleasantview Christian Church. Mr. Wagner loved farming and his family and was a former member of the Neva Volunteer Fire Department. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother: Roy Wagner; two sisters: Mary Elizabeth Wagner and Nellie June Wagner. Bill is survived by his wife, Shirley Wagner; three daughters: Norma (Frank) Peters, Betsy (Mark) Brown, Peggy (Jim) Brown; one son, John (Ginny) Wagner all of Mountain City, Tennessee; and one sister, Jennie Lee (Richard) Pennington; special friends: Dwayne Arney, Tom, Bill and John Shull, and many others. Funeral services for Billy Chester Wagner will be conducted Tuesday, October 23, 2007 at 8:00 p.m. from the Charles B. Hux Memorial Chapel of Hux-Lipford Funeral Home with Rev. Roy Wilson officiating. Graveside service and interment will be held Wednesday, October 24, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. in Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Eric Campbell, Robby Wagner, Frank Peters, Jon Cogar, Blaine Branch, Kevin Edmiston and Billy Brown. Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Smith, Josh Gilley, Earl Campbell, Jim Brown, Mark Brown and Employees of Mountain City Care Center. The family will receive friends from 6:00 ? 8:00 p.m. prior to the services on Tuesday. At other times, friends may call at the residence, 4132 Roan Creek Road, Mountain City, Tennessee.
