Billy Ray Phillips

Billy Ray Phillips, 62, of Lansing, North Carolina passed away December 30, 2025 at his home. Born on October 7th, 1963, in Pennsylvania, Billy was son of the late Loisteen and Dean Philips and the grandson of Vestie and Ed Phillips and Carrie and John Horton. 

Billy was the kind of man who never met a stranger. His door was always open to anyone in need of good company or a good story and a game of a pool. Life was never dull when Billy was around. He was a fun, goofy one of a kind guy, that you’d be lucky to call friend. Billy enjoyed a good time, playing pool with friends and family, spending time at his cabin and riding through the mountains. He was a happy man who lived his life to the fullest and he was happiest when surrounded by those he loved. To know him, was to love him. 

Those left to cherish his memory include One son, Brian Phillips and wife Ashley. One sister Gwynne Phillips and husband David. Two grandchildren Braylon and Ember Phillips, and one niece Chelsie Teal and husband Zach and her 5 children, Sophia, Hunter, Kora, Oakley and Bexley. Special friends: Fly and Angel Weaver and family. Lester and Lesley Pennington and family. Tom Boungiorne and Hondo. Kayla Wallace and family. Debbie Dixon.
