Robert A. "Bob" Pratt, age 79, of 2662 Crackers Neck Road, Mountain City, TN passed away Friday, March 1, 2013 at the Sycamore Shoals Hospital, Elizabethton, TN. He retired from General Motors V-8 division. He was born June 19th 1933 the late Charles S. Pratt and Dorcus Stevenson Pratt. Bob was a member of Vaughts Gap Baptist Church and he enjoyed camping and staying busy. He was a United States Army Veteran having served during the Korean War. Survivors include: wife, Doris Pratt of the home; daughters: Michelle Soper and husband Mike of Vernon, MI and Kim Corder and husband Dwayne of Flint, Michigan; sons: Michael Pratt and wife Gretchen of Seattle, Washington and Kevin Pratt and wife Lisa of Fenton, Michigan; step-daughter: Elizabeth Jean Tester and husband Dennis "Pug" Mountain City, Tennessee; step-sons: Robert Howard Stout, Mountain City, TN and Michael Lee Stout and wife Melissa of Mountain City, TN; four sisters: Harriett Johnson, Owasso, MI, Phyllis Pratt, Flint, MI, Dorothy Brewington, Jackson, MI, and one brother: Donnie Pratt and wife Helen, Lennon, MI. Special friends and caregivers: Tammy Click, Sandy Franklin, Deborah Shatley and Kristen Courtner; seven grandchildren: Donna Jean Pratt, Gregg Pratt, Christen Pratt, Marie Pratt, Daniel Corder, John Corder and Dustin Tester; and two great grandchildren: Gavin Pratt and Austin Pratt. Funeral services for Robert A. "Bob" Pratt will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 4, 2013 from the Charles B. Hux Memorial Chapel of Hux-Lipford Funeral Home with Rev. Chuck Morefield and Rev. Frank Johnson officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. prior to the funeral service. Graveside service and Military Honors will be accorded by the Johnson County Honor Guard from the Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Norman Tester, Wayne Johnson, Benny Grindstaff, Tony Simcox, Woody Crowder, D. L. Brown, Coleman Brown and Tom Icenhour. Honorary pallbearers are deacons and men of the church. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the Johnson County Rescue Squad, 203 Vandilla Street, Mountain City, TN 37683.
