Bobby D. Carter

Bobby D. Carter, age 73, of 9458 Hwy 321, Butler, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, March 10, 2005 at his residence following a short illness. A native of Moultrie, Georgia, he was born on December 10, 1931 to the late Benjamin F. and Louise Davis Carter. In addition to his parents, Bobby was preceded in death by one brother, B.F. Carter, Jr. Bobby was employed for 37 years as Produce Merchandiser for Publix supermarkets. He enjoyed gardening and bird watching. He was a member of the Roan Creek Masonic Lodge #679, member of Star Lodge #78 and a member of Elk Mills Christian Church. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Carter, of the home; one daughter, Debra Lynn Carter and fianc P.J. Ollis of Boone, North Carolina; two sons, B. Dudley Carter and wife Sandra of Augusta, Georgia and Robert Dale Carter and wife Patricia of Clearwater, Florida and seven grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends from 3-4:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 12, 2005 from the Hux-Tetrick Funeral Home.
