Bonnie Ruth Wright

June 15, 1929 — January 4, 2015

Bonnie Ruth Wright, age 85, of Mountain City, TN passed away Sunday, January 4, 2015 in Mountain City Care Center. She was born June 15, 1929 to the late Thomas Brownlow Reece and Martha Elizabeth Oliver Reece. She was a member of Union Baptist Church but attended Dewey Christian Church. Bonnie loved weaving. She also wrote poetry for the International Society of Poetry, had work published in The World Book and had been presented Certificates of Poetry and a cup for her achievements. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Harold G. Wright; three sisters: Mary Bowman, Daisy Laing and Pearl Dugger; and two brothers: Stanley Reece and Johnny Ted Reece. Survivors include: five sisters: Lillian Dugger and Molly Greenwell, both of Mountain City, TN; Minnie Cook of Chicago, IL; Sue R. Hayes and husband Johnny of Boone, NC; Phyllis Dugger and husband Ronnie of Eastlake, OH; two brothers: Rev. Lee Reece and wife Patricia of Vilas, NC and Lester Reece and wife Janet of Zionville, NC; and a sister-in-law: Terry Reece of Chicago, IL and many nieces and nephews. Survivors also include her special friend Betty. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 8, 2015 from the Eastside Chapel of Hux-Lipford Funeral Home with Rev. Lee Reece and Rev. Joe Crisp officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m. prior to the service. Graveside service and interment will follow in Union Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Preston Reece, Justin Reece, Eddie Reece, Doug Dugger, Jim Greenwell, James Laing and Larry Laing.
