Boyd Dowell

Boyd Dowell, 67 passed away December 10, 2012 at Agape Senior Center in Conway, SC. He was born September 3, 1945 in West Chester, PA a son of the late Roy Earl and Leona Dunn Dowell. He was predeceased by brother, McArthur Blevins. Boyd was a retired law enforcement officer, a huge Philadelphia Phillies Fan and loved bluegrass music and playing his Martin guitar. Survivors include his brother, Burnice Dowell of Delaware; two sisters, Linda Goslin of Myrtle Beach, SC and Judy Zetts of New Jersey; and lifelong friends, Marvin and Ann Donavan and Shane of Johnson City, TN. Also many neices and nephews,aunts,uncles,cousins and and great nieces and nephews. The family received friends from 5:00-7:00 PM Wednesday December 12, 2012 at First Freewill Baptist Church in Myrtle Beach with the funeral service following starting at 7pm with Rev. Wayne Snipes officiating. Burial will take place next week at Oxford Cemetery in Oxford, PA with Levine and Sons, Inc. conducting services in Pennsylvania (215-942-4700). In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to charity of one's choice. McMillan-Small Funeral Home in Myrtle Beach is handling the arrangements.
