Boyd Larkin Hall, age 82, went to his final resting place on January 4, 2026. Boyd was born in Mountain City Tennessee on January 2, 1944. He served his country in the US Army stationed in Vietnam with an honorable discharge in 1971. His dedication to serving and loving our country was obvious. Boyd had a passion for singing, piano, gardening and being a constant encourager and helper to his fellow Veterans in both the VFW and the American Legion in Greensboro, North Carolina. Boyd had made his home in Greensboro for the past 40 years. He made many lifelong friends wherever he went. He loved coming back home to visit his family and friends in Mountain City, Tennessee. He chose a career of caring and assisting sick patients in the hospital and afterwards in the nursing home. He also worked in landscaping. He loved being a helper. He was the son of the late Mack and Emma Hall. He was a member of Antioch Baptist Church, and pastored friendship Baptist Church for a short period of time.
He was proceeded in death by his brothers, Harley, Ervil, Estel and Charles Hall sisters, Lenetha Bumgardner, Waunita Jennings, Ella Mae Church, Ruby Price, Susan Hall, Wanda Martin, Phyllis Woods, India Hall.
Survivors include his nephews, Jerold Price and Rick Price his nieces, Gail Gambill, Teri Wille, Tammy Pierce, Karen Pena, his loyal friends in Greensboro, Nacho, Pone, Linda, Rob and Steve and families. According to his wishes, a private service and burial will be at the National Military Cemetery in Salisbury North Carolina.
