Boyd Mullins

August 18, 1942 — November 5, 2009

Boyd Glenn Mullins, age 67, of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away Thursday, November 5, 2009 due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was preceded in death by his parents Robert Otho and Francis Mullins and one brother Robert Mullins.  Boyd loved hunting, was a former member of the Butler Coon Club and most of all loved spending time with his grandchildren.  He was a member of Bethany Baptist Church.


 


Survivors include: his wife, Kathleen Mullins; two sons, Timothy and wife Connie, Bob and wife Angie of Mountain City, Tennessee; six grandchildren: Matt, Robbie, Amber and Nicole Mullins, Stacy Leonard and Alan Pennington; one sister Ola Fleeman and one brother James D. Mullins all of Mountain City, Tennessee.  Special friends are too numerous to mention.


 


Funeral services for Boyd Glenn Mullins will be conducted 7pm Sunday, November 8, 2009 from the Charles B. Hux Memorial Chapel at Hux~Lipford~Teague Funeral Home with Rev. Richard Stout and Rev. Leonard Fletcher to officiate.  Music will be under the direction of the Fletcher family.  Pallbearers will be Harold Phillippi, Roby Phillippi, Ross Arnold, Buddy Stout, John Forrester, Scott Forrester, Tim Mullins and Bob Mullins.  Honorary pallbearers include Ed Laws, Benny Campbell, Jack Proffitt, Fred Icenhour, Bud Pennington, Tip Osborne, Floyd Smith, John Hampton and Lawrence Pierce.  Grave side service and interment will be held on Monday, November 9, 2009 at 11am from the Mullins Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 5pm to 7pm prior to the funeral service. 


 


In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Johnson County Rescue Squad 203 Vandilla Street, Mountain City, Tennessee 37683.  Friends may call the resident at 6870 Highway 67W, Mountain City, Tennessee at any time.
