Brandon Charles Greene, age 16, of 111 J. Johnson Road, Mountain City, TN passed away Monday, July 14, 2014 in UT Medical Center, Knoxville, TN. He was born March 12, 1998 to Rickey Lynn Greene of Johnson City, TN and Sherry Christine Gilland Greene of Mountain City, TN. He was a student as JCHS where he was a former football player and he loved playing football and playing the guitar. He was a member of Victory Chapel Cowboy Church. He was preceded in death by one brother, Little Rickey; maternal Grandmother Mary C. Tester and maternal Grandfather D.R. Gilland. Survivors in addition to his parents include: stepmother Kathy Hall Greene of Johnson City, TN; stepfather Shawn S. Jennings of Mountain City, TN; brother Shevin Greene of Mountain City, TN; stepsisters: Billie Jean Jennings of Knoxville, TN; Christi Hicks of Oxford,AL; Brittney Victorian Asylum and Trinity Hall; paternal grandparents: Barbara Smith Greene and Kenneth Greene of Jonesborough, TN; great grandmother Lillie Sweet of Damascus, VA; aunts and uncles: Douglas and Sherry Welch Slagle of Mountain City, TN Connie and Todd Rodefer of Jonesborough, TN; Teresa Lee of Jonesborough, TN; Jackie Austin of Johnson City, TN; David Scott Slagle of Damascus, VA; several cousins and many, many friends Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Friday, July 18, 2014, in the Charles B. Hux Memorial Chapel of Hux Lipford Funeral Home with Rev. Carroll Hayworth officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday, July 17, 2014, from 6-8 pm in Charles B. Hux Memorial Chapel, Graveside service and interment will follow the funeral service, Friday, July 18, 2014, from Sunset Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Shevin Greene, Doug Slagle, Alex Roark, Bradley Wright, Tyler Wilson and Ronnie Slagle. Honorary pallbearer will be Scott Slagle.
