Brian William Cail, a loving husband and father passed suddenly from this world and into the arms of

Jesus on Friday, September 15, 2023 at the age 62.

He was born to Donald and Marjorie Cail (both deceased) on May 4, 1961 in Andover, MA. As a boy his

father flew with Brian to Nova Scotia to visit family and that experience sparked a love for flying within

him that would forever be in his soul. Brian entered the US Air Force at 18 years old and flew as a

gunner in B-52 airplanes and a flight engineer in UH-N1 (Huey) rescue helicopters which gave him the

privilege of saving many lives. He will save 5 more lives with his final gift of choosing to be an organ donor.

Over the years, Brian pursued his dream of obtaining a private pilot’s license and in 2008 he flew his first

solo flight. He was so excited to have achieved that life-long goal. He had a love for teaching and longed

to share his passion for aviation. He joined the Civil Air Patrol Louisburg, NC Squadron in 2008 and

served as Squadron Commander for 2 years during his 15 years of service.

Brian loved to be in the outdoors and he was an adventurer. In addition to his love for flying, he enjoyed

riding motorcycles and ATVs, camping, campfires, hiking, sailing, fly fishing and a good stout beer.

After Brian left the military, he was launched into a career in the generator industry where he excelled

over the years and became a Senior Project Manager and was considered an expert in his field.

Brian is survived by his wife of 39 years, Dana Cail and his daughter, Morgan Hailey Cail-Wiltsey (Colin),

his sisters Cindy Butcher and Lynne DeAdder, his brother Alan Cail (Kathy) and several nieces, nephews

  and cousins.

A memorial service will be held, Sunday, November 5th, 2023 at 2:00 PM, Northridge Country Club, in Raleigh, NC.
