Brittian South, age 25, of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away Saturday, July 27, 2019, at Johnson City Medical Center. Brittian was born March 13, 1994 in Forsyth County, a son of Howard Stewart South and the late Peggy Sue Stout South. He was a roadway crew member for Maymead Construction. In addition to his father, he is survived by one son, Michael Townsend of Boone; one sister, Andrea Carlson and Bobby Trivette of Boone; two brothers, Richard South of Boone, and Roy Wilson of Ashe County, and his fiancee, Julie Roberts of Mountain City, Tennessee. He is also survived by a number of cousins, aunts, uncles, great aunts, and great uncles. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Russell Frank Stout and Pearl V. Robinson Stout; his paternal grandparents, Arty Glenn South and Carolyn Adelia South, and one aunt, Cory Stout. Funeral services for Brittian South will be conducted Saturday afternoon, August 3, 2019, at 1:30, at Hampton Funeral Home Chapel. The body will lie in state, at the chapel, from 12:00 until 1:30 PM. The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 1:30 PM, at the funeral home, prior to the service. Flowers are appreciated, or memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
