Bruce Ray Arnold

Bruce Ray Arnold, age 77, of Elizabethton, TN went home to be with the Lord in the early morning hours of Thursday, September 27, 2018.  Bruce was born March 25, 1941, to the late Emerson Arnold and Lula Bell Corum Arnold.  In addition to his parents, Bruce was preceded in death by his loving wife, Barbara Bennett Arnold.

Bruce spent many years and got much enjoyment from driving a school bus for Johnson County Schools.  Bruce enjoyed spending time fishing and tinkering with small engines, as well as spending quality time with his family.

Those left to cherish Bruce’s memory are his sister, Mary Nell Hernandez of Kennett Square, PA, sons Rick Arnold of Mountain City, TN and Jim and wife Dawn Arnold of Bethel, NC, grandchildren Brittany Mahaffey of Florida and Brandon Arnold of North Carolina, several special nieces and nephews, and his close friend Joe Spearman.

Funeral service will be conducted at 2 pm on Sunday September 30, 2018. in the Charles B. Hux Chapel of Hux & Lipford funeral home Rev. Shannon Courtner will be officiating the services. The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 pm prior to the funeral.
