Calvin Lewis, age 52, of Shady Valley, TN passed away on Wednesday, October 27, 2016 at the Johnson City Medical Center. He was born December 7, 1963 to Mr. Ben Lewis and Lydia McQueen Lewis. He was preceded in death by his father. Mr. Lewis enjoyed motorcycles and working on cars.
He was a member of Johnson County Knights, sports pilot being an ultralite instructor. He was an active member of the Shady Valley Fire Department for thirty-nine years and served as the chief engineer for seven years. He was a member of the Shady Valley Presbyterian Church.
He is survived by: his wife, Marilyn Price Lewis; mother, Lydia McQueen Lewis; daughters, Cayla Arney and husband Chad, Shady Valley, TN, Michelle Arnett and husband Neil, Gray, TN; son, Shannon Price, Gray, TN; two sisters, Carolyn Lewis, Shady Valley, TN and Clarice Crowder and husband Randy, Laurel Bloomery, TN; one brother, Conrad Lewis, Shady Valley, Tennessee; three grandchildren, Joshua Bowman, Kendra Arnett and Riley Price; several nieces and nephews and many special friends Dr. Charles Famayin, Dr. Mark Floyd, Dr. Floyd Barker, Rick and Kimra Campbell, Dan and Tina Lipford, Tony and Wendy Spencer, Fletcher Musick, Johnson County Knights, Dannie Dunn, Charles and Helen McQueen, Mike Dunn, Tommy Dunn, Steven and Barbara Bishop, Flo Bellamy and Debbie Leslie.
Visitation with family and friends will be Sunday, October 30, 2016 from 2-3 p.m. from the Shady Valley Presbyterian Church with the funeral service to follow at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Jack Stevens officiating.
Graveside service and interment will follow the funeral service in the Blevins Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Kenneth McQueen, Fletcher Musick, Rick Campbell, Tony Spencer, Dannie Dunn, Bradley McQueen, Tom Hutchinson, Brian Hutchinson and Steven Bishop. Honorary pallbearers are: Members of the Shady Valley Fire Department.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Shady Valley Fire Department, 10114 US 421, Shady Valley, Tennessee 37688. At other times friends may call at the residence 1861 Hwy. 133, Shady Valley, Tennessee.
