Carl C. Eggers

Carl C. Eggers, age 89, of 989 Eggers Branch Road, Trade, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, March 1, 2005 at the Mountain City Care Center. A native of Trade, Tennessee, he was born on June 2, 1915 to the late Emmett and Ada Mains Eggers. In addition to his parents, Carl was preceded in death by three sons, Jimmy Eggers, Claude Eggers and Lloyd Eggers. Carl retired from the Johnson County Highway Department. He was a member of Mountain City Church of Christ. He is survived by his wife, Dora L. Eggers, of the home; one son, Bob Eggers and wife Genevia of Mountain City; one sister, Pearl Thomas and husband Dean of Trade, Tennessee; one brother, Charlie Eggers and wife Marie of Longview, Washington; eight grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services for Carl will be conducted at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 3, 2005 from the Hux-Tetrick Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Jim Hutchinson to officiate. Graveside Services and Entombment will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 4, 2005 from the Sunset Memorial Park Mausoleum. Active Pallbearers will be: Gary Eggers, Jamie Eggers, Jason Eggers, Larry Eggers, Matt Eggers and Michael Eggers. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. prior to Services Thursday.
