Carl H Gailing

We are saddened to announce the passing of Carl H. Gailing on Sunday, September 24, 2023 in the Hermitage Health Center in Elizabethton, Tennessee. He was born in North Wildwood, New Jersey on November 29, 1928 to the late Herman W. Gailing and Mary Ellen Hewitt Gailing.  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother.

Carl was a United States Navy Veteran having served in World War II.  He worked in sales at Colorest Art & Drafting Supplies and enjoyed fishing and reading.

Those left to cherish his memories include his two daughters, Carla J. Shaw of Montain City, Tennessee and Ellen L. Gailing of Richmond, California; grandchildren, Ryan L. Shaw of Butler, Tennessee and Leilani G. Simmons of North Port, Florida; three great grandchildren, Danny Shaw of Butler, Tennessee, Kyle J, Shaw of Butler, Tennessee and Abigail R. Simmons of Rotonda, Florida and a neice, Helen M. Miller of San Antonio, Texas.
