Carol “Katie” Marlow, age 49, of 8107 Hwy 91N, Lot 7, Laurel Bloomery, Tennessee passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, November 15, 2009. She was the daughter of the late Homer and Florence Ward Icenhour. She was of the Baptist faith. Carol loved talking to everyone and especially loved Longhorn Football.

 

Survivors include: her husband, Martin Marlow, of the home; one daughter: Amanda Marlow May and husband Adam of Mountain City, TN; one son: Martin Cody Lee Marlow of Laurel Bloomery, TN; biological mother: Lue Clark and husband Bud of Butler, TN; sisters: Kathy Icenhour of Bristol, VA; Tammy Icenhour Lunceford and husband Allen of Mountain City, TN; step-sister: Cindy Baldares and husband Ralph of George West, TX; brother:  David Icenhour and wife Shentonta of Mountain City, TN; and step-brother Dale Clark and wife Tina of George West, TX; eleven nieces and nephews; five stop nieces and nephews; one great niece; three great nephews; one grandchild “on the way” and many special friends.

 

Funeral services for Carol “Katie” Marlow will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, November 19, 2009 from the East Side Memory Chapel of Hux~Lipford~Teague Funeral Home with Mr. Clifford Brewer and Mr. Billy Ray Morefield officiating. Active pallbearers will be Jeff Minks, Ronnie Minks, Randy Wright, Jeff Norris, Joby Norris and Rush Powell. Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Wright, Jimmy Dunn, Spc. Robert m. Wilson, Jr., Justin Garland, Tommy Eastridge and Josh Upright.  The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. prior to the funeral. Graveside service and entombment will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, November 20, 2009 in Sunset Memorial Park. 

 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions may be made to Hux~Lipford~Teague Funeral Home.
