Carolyn Ilene Porter, age 76 went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 31st, 2025 at Johnson City Medical Center. She was born June 16th, 1948, to Will and Ruth Price. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Jackie Porter, sister Edith Price, an infant sister, brothers Jack Price, Bill Price Jr., two infant brothers, grandchild Aiden Ward, and the loving father of her children, Bill Porter.

Carol was a loving mother and grandmother. She always had something positive to say about everyone and supported so many people with her caring heart. She spent most of her years being a homemaker and caring for others. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her children, grandchildren, and her dog Tek. She loved listening to preaching and reading her bible. She found joy in yard saling and collecting what knots.

Those left to cherish her memory include sons Anthony Porter and William Porter (Angel), Daughter Donna Porter, sister Katie Stewart (Jody). Uncle Junior Roark. Grandchildren Natasha Horne (Anthony), Ben Porter, Tonya Moses (Dominic), Miranda Roark (Justin), Star Porter, Zack Porter, and Gideon Porter. Great-grandchildren Bella, Zaylan, and Oakley Moses, Masyn and Madisyn Allen, Eli Horne, Kinslee and Kohen Roark and Daxton Reece. Several nieces and nephews. Special friends Sharon Dugger, Stella Osborne, and Sherry Grindstaff.

The family will receive friends from 5-6 pm on Saturday, April 5th at the Hux Lipford Funeral Home. Funeral services to follow with pastors Eddie Porter and Clarence “Bubba” Cannon officiating. Graveside service will be held Sunday, April 6th, at Sunset Memorial Park starting at 1:00 pm.

Pallbearers will be Justin Roark, Ben Porter, Anthony Horne, Keith Green, Clay Neely, Gideon Porter, and William Porter. Honorary pallbearers include Eddie Lipford, Dominic Moses, Clarence “Bubba” Cannon, Dan Lipford, Paul Price, Dean Heaton, and Cody Brown.

At other times, family and friends may visit at the home of her granddaughter Miranda Roark.
